A Tipperary man is fighting for a world Mixed Martial Arts title this evening.
Cahir native Will Fleury is taking on Bulgaria’s Lazar Todev for the Oktagon Heavyweight title in Stuttgart, Germany.
Fleury won the light-heavyweight title back in December and is aiming to become trhe first two-weight champion in the history of the Oktagon promotion.
The Tipp man is in the main event of a sold out card in front of 15,000 people, with the main event expected to get underway at approximately 9pm Irish time.
Speaking in last night’s Across The Line, Will believes he has enough to win the fight tonight:
“He is a good fighter, I really rate him and I think h’s the toughest challenge out there for me right now.
“It’s a tough, tough fight andI don’t have any illusions and I’m not trying to ignore that but I really do think that if I get in there and I get moving the right way, I can pick him apart fairly quickly and I can have it over in a round or two.”
