Tipp hurling supporters will have chance to see county’s senior hurlers in action in the New Year.

The Premier will be taking on All-Ireland champions Clare in a challenge game in aid of a charity.

The game will take place at 6pm on Saturday January 4th in Templemore, with adults admission costing €10 whilst kids go free.

All proceeds will be going to local charity Mary’s Meals and Seamus Bourke from Mary’s Meals describes the work of the charity:

“In a nutshell, what Mary’s Meals do is they provide one meal a day to children in a place of education and they operate in 17 of the world’s poorest countries, mainly in Africa, Asia, Latin-America and the Caribbean.

“To feed a child one meal a day for an entire school year just costs €22.

“Of every €1 that Mary’s Meals gets, €0.96 goes directly to the frontline.”
