Tipp athlete named beneficiary of University College Cork Sports Scholarship Programme

A Tipperary athlete has been named as one of the beneficiaries of the University College Cork Sports Scholarship Programme for 2024-25.

Katie Bergin of Moyne Athletic Club is one of the two athletes selected from a group of 86 across all sports – the other recipient is Eimear Maher Dublin

The Galmoy native is a second year Physical Education and History student in UCC.

This is Katie’s second year receiving this prestigious award.

These scholarships are integrated with UCC Sports Performance Programme which provides tailored support to help student’s balance their academic and athletic pursuits.
