The Tipp FM 2024 Sports Star awards night takes place at the Talbot Hotel

Tipp FM is set to celebrate Tipperary’s finest sports stars at the Tipp FM Sports Star of the Year Awards 2024, taking place at the Talbot Hotel in Clonmel this evening

The highly anticipated event will see the presentation of monthly award winners, recognizing exceptional sporting achievements throughout 2024, before the grand reveal of the Tipp FM Sports Star of the Year.

Hosted by Paul Carroll and Ronan Quirke, the ceremony will honour athletes and teams who have displayed outstanding dedication in their respective fields. Each winner will receive a beautifully engraved award from John Quirke Jewellers, a fitting tribute to their incredible achievements.

• January winner: Ursuline Thurles

• February winner: Nenagh CBS

• March winner: Presentation Thurles

• April winners: Tipperary Senior Camogie/Tipperary Minor Camogie

• May winners: Tipperary Under 20 Hurlers/Tipperary Minor Hurlers

• June winner: Sharlene Mawdsley

• July winner: Liam Devaney

• August winner: Daire Lynch

• September: Cahir Park Golf Club

• October: Loughmore – Castleiney GAA

• November: William Maunsell

• December: Dylan Slevin

The Tipp FM Sports Star of the Year Awards highlight Tipperary’s deep passion for sport, from grassroots heroes to international champions. This event not only acknowledges their hard work but also brings the sporting community together in celebration of another remarkable year.

Speaking ahead of the event, Tipp FM’s Programme Director Stephen Keogh said “Tipperary has always been home to exceptional sporting talent, and we are proud to honour the achievements of these athletes who inspire our community. The Tipp FM Sports Star of the Year Awards are a celebration of hard work, passion, and success across all levels of sport.”
