Swans fail to overcome the Church

Upperchurch Drombane recorded a six point win over Carrick Swans at Golden yesterday evening in the county senior hurling championship.

A Michael Lee goal before half time gave the Church some breathing room as they went in to the break leading 1-10 to 0-9.

Paidi Greene was to the fore in the second half with some long range points on the run as the Mid Tipp side ran out 1-23 to 2-14 winners.

After the game Upperchurch Drombane manager, John Ryan, told Tipp FM Sport he was pleased his side have two wins out of three in the county series.
