Carrick on Suir rider Michael O'Loughlin has finished 8th in the Junior Individual Time Trial having topped the standings for quite some time.
The 17 year old first year junior – who rides for the Nicolas Roche Performance Team – is also part of the Irish squad for Saturdays road race.

He has had an outstanding season taking two stage wins and 2nd overall at the Junior Tour of Ireland as well as 2nd in the National Road Race Championships where he lost by just millimetres to Eddie Dunbar.
Dunbar from Kanturk will be one of the pre-race favourites for Saturdays road race.
