South-West Tipp through to Celtic Challenge hurling final

South-West Tipperary are through to the Celtic Challenge Hurling final after they defeated Kilkenny North in the semi final played at Carraiganore Waterford last night.

Mark Stokes from Kilsheelan Kilcash put in a fine performance to claim the player of the match award while Mullinahone’s Martin Kehoe scored the vital goal as Tipp ran out 1-18 to 1-15 winners over the Kilkenny representatives.

The other semi final of the under 17 Hurling competition will see North-Mid Tipp take on North Cork in Golden at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
