A busy weekend of divisional hurling finals gets underway this evening.
In the South of the county, Kilsheelan-Kilcash and Ballingarry square off in Carrick at 7pm for the South intermediate hurling title.
At the same time in Dolla, Moneygall and Portroe meet in the North intermediate hurling final.
Moneygall come into the game as defending champions whilst Portroe are looking to pick up some silverware after dropping down from the Premier intermediate grade last year.
Speaking on last night’s Across The Line, Enda Treacy from the Tipperary Star gives his prediction for the game:
“Anytime you play Portroe, you’re in for a battle and you’re going to earn every score. Winning the match against Portroe was a very difficult thing to do when they were up senior not so long ago. So you know, they still have that mentality and they still have that doggedness in them.
“But I just can’t see them being able to stifle the amount of threat Moneygall have. They’ll have too much energy and they look really well drilled at the moment and they look really settled as a team as well.”
Meanwhile in the West division this evening, the West intermediate hurling semi-final is down for decision.
Arravale Rovers and Golden-Kilfeacle meet in Bansha at 7pm with the winners earning a place in the final where they’ll play Cappawhite.
