A Tipperary man is the new Cork City FC U19 Women’s manager

Thurles native Barry Ryan has taken over the role following plenty of success in the women’s game.

The former league of Ireland player is a teacher in Presentation Thurles where he has lead them to five national soccer titles whilst also managing the Munster Schools side to Inter Pro titles in 2021 and 2022.

Ryan, who is a regular contributor to Tipp FM’s soccer coverage, says that it’s a real privilege to join a club of the magnitude of Cork City and that he’s excited and motivated by the challenge ahead.
