Saturday’s GAA county club results

Saturday saw a raft of county club action across several grades.

Firstly, In the Dan Breen Cup:

In Group 1, Templemore hosted the showdown of Mullinahone against Nenagh Eire Og. The Nenagh team coming out on top, the final score 2-22 to 1-15.

In Group 2, also in Templemore, Toomevara overcame the challenge of Killenaule, winning by 4-15 to 1-14.

In the first of two group 4 matches, in Nenagh, Kiladangan and Borris-Ileigh held each other to a draw at 2-18 a piece.

While in Dolla, Portroe lost out to Loughmore-Castleiney on a scoreline of 1-24 to 2-11.

Three matches were played in the Seamus O’Riain Cup. In Group 2, in Nenagh, Templederry Kenyons eased by Newport on a scoreline of 3-26 to 0-17.
While, in Toomevara, Clonakenny lost out by to two points to Silvermines, 21 points to 1-16 the final score there.

In Group 3 at The Ragg, Moycarkey-Borris overcame Holycross/Ballycahill on a scoreline of 2-19 to 1-17.

There was just one game down for decision in the County Intermediate Hurling Championship yesterday.

In Group 5, Ned Hall Park played host to a Golden-Kilfeacle victory over Kilsheelan-Kilcash, on the finest of margins, the final score there was 0-18 points 1-14.

In the west of the county, Sean Tracey Park in Tipp town was the venue for both the Minor A and Minor B hurling championship finals yesterday.

In the B decider, the match of Knockavilla Donaskeigh against Rockwell Rosegreen proved to be a very one-sided affair, Knockavilla controlled that game from start to finish, the final score there 4-20 to ten points.

Then in the A final, Cappawhite Gaels overcame Cashel King Cormacs by ten points, 2-21 to 1-14 the final score there.

Finally, in the North Tipp Minor A Hurling in Borrisokane, Toomevara beat Lorrha Rovers by a point 1-15 to 1-14.
