The Swim Ireland CEO was comfortbaly elected Pat Hickey's successor last night, winning 29 of the available 43 votes. 

Outgoing acting President Willie O'Brien received 12, with Basketball Ireland CEO Bernard O'Byrne receiving just 2.

O'Byrne stated his disappointment at his failed bid to become President. 

While Keane says she is honoured and privileged to assume the role. 

Outgoing honorary general secretary Dermot Henihan praised Hickey's tenure in a speech, but was then soundly beaten by Sarah O'Shea in the vote for General Secretary. 

The cost of the independent report into the Rio ticketing scandal was found to be in excess of 800-thousand euro.
