The North Tipp club will return to Munster’s venue in Limerick for the first time since their 2023 Munster Senior Cup final appearance.
They will be taking on Limerick side Shannon in their AIL Division 1B game at 5pm on Saturday evening.
Speaking on Extra-Time, Nenagh Ormond director of rugby John Long outlines why the game is taking place in Thomond Park.
“Shannon have made a special request to get the main pitch in Thomond Park so it’s going to be a big occasion.
“They (Shannon) look to have a big derby in there most years, I think last year they did it with Young Munster so they obviously see Nenagh Ormond now as a derby and a game that’s going to draw a big crowd and they want to make a big occasion of it.”
