Clonmel RFC give best to Old Crescent

It wasn’t to be for Clonmel in the Munster senior cup semi-final last night.

The Tipp side travelled to Takumi Park in Limerick to take on Old Crescent, a team two divisions above them in the AIL.

The game was a tight affair for the first hour, with Old Crescent leading 8-0 with 65 minutes gone however a late flurry of tries saw the Limerick side win on a full-time score line of 36-5.

Nenagh Ormond will aim to reach the final against Old Crescent this evening.

The North Tipp side travel to Tom Clifford Park in Limerick to play Young Munster in their semi-final clash.

Kick-off is at 8pm.
