Glenn Whelan's recovery from a leg fracture is progressing ahead of schedule, and he reported for training yesterday.

Meanwhile Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given has hit out at the Scottish media ahead of Friday's clash.

There's been a lot of focus on James McCarthy and Aiden McGeady.

Both internationals were born and raised in Scotland but chose to represent the Irish.   Given does expect the pair to get a reaction from the home fans at Celtic Park but feels it's unfair.
