Speculation is mounting that Eamon O'Shea will be appointed as Tipperary Senior Hurling manager.

He was part of Liam Sheedy's management team that won the All Ireland in 2010 and had been initially ruled out of the race this time around due to work commitments.

It's understood the NUIG professor met with the selection committee last week.

The County Board is due to meet tonight but it's not clear whether this matter will be up for discussion at this time.
