On Thursday the Camogie County Board had released their own statement on the matter, which claimed that there had been “ongoing difficulties” between themselves and Kennedy.
Here's the players' statement in full;
“Following a meeting last night the Tipperary Senior Camogie panel would like to express our strong disappointment in relation to recent events which have occurred within our county set up.
We feel that unnecessary measures have been taken which only serve to hinder our championship preparations at such a crucial stage.
At present, players feel our efforts are continually interrupted as we strive for success and resurgence of Tipperary Camogie.
The role of a Tipperary senior camogie player remains a highly respected and successful position in the minds of players. However, our desires to play for our county have been severely upset in recent months as we are presented with these difficulties.
The players would like to express that we have full faith in Eoin Kennedy and his management team.”
