Speaking at the Tipperary Supporters Club Membership launch last night, Eamon said his side have proven they can compete with the top teams in the country and the key is to maintain high standards within the squad.

He said: 'We're one of four or five teams that can win the All-Ireland and we'll be going really hard to try and do that.

'You can't win unless you perform…our goal is to be as best prepared as we can. That's where all the effort is going at the moment to try to put yourself in a position where you're able to perform.'

He added: 'Our players are good…they work hard and they really try to reach the standards and they'll have to because the competition is very strong.'

The Tipp senior hurlers will begin their National League campaign against Dublin on February 15th in Parnell Park.
