O’Shea not fazed by League defeat

Tipperary lost out to a better team on the day was manager Eamon O'Shea's simple summation of yesterdays defeat to Waterford in the National Hurling League semi-final.

1-19 to 2-15 the final score at Nowlan Park in favour of the Deise.

At half-time Tipp led 2-8 to 0-11 after goals from Bonnar Maher and John “Bubbles” O'Dwyer.

O'Dwyer suffered a suspected broken bone in his finger in the first half and went off injured in the second and was replaced by Shane Bourke.

O'Shea say's Tipp weren't fazed by Waterford's defensive system saying most teams play defensively against Tipp.

He says the team will now regroup and take a break for a few weeks.

Cork beat Dublin in yesterday's other semi-final, coming from 12 points down at one stage to win by a single point – 1-27 to 2-23.
