The Clonmel Boxing Club fighter was, in the view of the judges, comprehensively beaten by Daria Abramova of Russia, who is now guaranteed a bronze medal in the lightweight division.
This was O'Keefe's first appearance for Ireland at an elite competition – she was called up after Katie Taylor's decision to turn professional.
