There’s a big double header of National League action in FBD Semple Stadium this evening.
Both the Tipperary senior footballers and hurlers are looking for big wins in Thurles.
First up at 5pm, the footballers take on London, with Philly Ryan’s side looking for their third straight win in Division Four.
Tipp FM will have live commentary of that game with thanks to Mother Hubbards family restaurant, Cork Rd, Cashel.
Then at 7.30pm, the senior hurlers take on Cork in the National Hurling League.
That game is also live here on Tipp FM with thanks to Arrabawn Stores.
Speaking on last night’s Across The Line, Shane Brophy from the Nenagh Guardian is expecting a firey affair in Thurles:
“I’d be surprised if there is not a bit of an edge to this.
“You’re half way through the league campaign, Cork had a bye the last round so they are coming in a little cold, they’re missing a few key guys and they’re probably not as full strength as we are.
“I sense that the players, especially in the last fortnight, the players would be keyed up that ‘we are playing these guys in nine weeks time, we owe them and we can’t just let them walk in like they did last summer.”
