The Tipperary senior hurling team recorded a big win in the National League last night.

Liam Cahill’s men beat Cork in FBD Semple Stadium on a full time score of 2-22 to 1-21.

Goals from Jake Morris and substitute Dylan Walsh along with ten points from Darragh McCarthy helped the Premier to a third win in this year’s campaign.

Next up for Tipp is a trip to Nowlan Park to play Kilkenny in two weeks time before a return to Thurles to host Clare in the final round.

Meanwhile it was heartbreak at the death for the Tipp senior footballers yesterday.

Philly Ryan’s side got proceedings underway in FBD Semple Stadium with 2-13 to 0-17 loss against London.

With the game level deep in injury time, London midfielder Liam Gallagher fired over a two-pointer from distance to win the game with the very last kick.

It’s the first loss for the Premier in this year’s league campaign and they will look to bounce back against Limerick in Rathkeale next Saturday evening.
