Mid Tipp and South Tipp champs crowned

Loughmore-Castleiney have been crowned Mid Tipperary senior hurling champions.

The won the title by beating Drom-Inch 1-20 to 2-16 after extra-time in Templetuohy yesterday afternoon.

Loughmore manager Declan Laffan says it was a real nip'n'tuck encounter.

Meanwhile, Mullinahone have won the South Tipperary senior hurling title.

A last-gasp free from Eoin Kelly earned them a 2-15 to 1-17 victory over Killenaule in the divisional final, which was played at Clonmel Sportsfield.

 

Kilruane McDonaghs and Killadangan will contest next weekend's North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship Final.

The former defeated Roscrea 2-25 to 1-10 in the semi-final.

Kilruane booked their place in the decider by defeating Burgess 3-12 to 1-14.

North Tipp PRO John Delaney says the final will be a special occasion.

And, there was one match in the West Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship yesterday.

Clonoulty-Rossmore beat Eire Og Annacarty in Round 3 of the competition.
