The Moyne-based trainer saw Davy Russell steer 9/1 shot Mallowney to a two and a half length victory in the Grade C, Three.ie Handicap Chase, while the Jessica Harrington trained Macnicholson claimed victory in the opening race- the Colm Murray Memorial Handicap Hurdle.
Meanwhile, there was a big surprise in the Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle, where Quevega missed out on a fifth successive win in the race.

The Willie Mullins' trained horse- with Ruby Walsh on board- lost out to 20/1 shot Jetson.
