Head coach Leo Cullen says he’s “optimistic” about Sean O’Brien’s chances of playing for the province again this season.

However Rob Kearney and Jamie Heaslip face a race against time if they’re to feature in the Guinness PRO12 playoffs.

Neither Kearney or Heaslip have seen any game time since playing in Ireland’s Six Nations defeat to Wales in Match.

Meanwhile O’Brien has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury he suffered in last month’s Champions Cup win over Wasps.

Leinster travel to Ulster this weekend for the final game of the regular season, and then head into a two week break before a home semi-final.
