Lar Corbett has returned to the Tipperary senior hurling panel.

The former All star opted out in February as he wanted to develop his business but last night the county board confirmed he is now in a position to return.

Corbett has won two All Irelands and was hurler of the year in 2010.

It remains to be seen when he will line out for Tipp as the 31 year old has not been involved with his club Thurles Sarsfields so far this year – his match fitness, or lack of it, is likely to be a concern for now.

Meanwhile just a single point seperated Tipp and Clare in a Senior Hurling challenge game in Clonlara last night.

2-12 to 1-14 the final score in favour of Declan Ryan's men with Seamus Callanan contributing 1-8 of Tipps tally.
