Kilkenny edge ahead in Tipp clash

Kilkenny have secured a one point win over Tipp in a pulsating game in Nowlan park today, on a 2-22 to 2-21 scoreline.

The game was thrilling throughout between the two old rivals-with Tipp displaying a fantastic effort in the forth round of the Alliance hurling league

Michael Breen managed to slam home two almost successive goals for Tipp in the second half, but Kilkenny managed to edge ahead as the full time whistle approached.

Richie Leahy slipped in a late point with just a minute of added time to play to seal the win for Kilkenny.
