Kilfeacle took an early 3 point lead after just 10 minutes thanks to a penalty – they also had the benefit of a strong wind in the first half.
However, Ashbourne crossed the whitewash to score a try in the dying stages of the first half – and Kilfeacle went in 5 points to 3 down at half time.
The second half saw little between the teams – as they exchanged penalties – to leave the score at 8 points to 6 to Ashbourne
Another Ashbourne penalty brought the gap to 5 points between the sides, and they stretched that even further with a try – leaving Kilfeacle with too much to do.

Meanwhile, Cashel have overcome Cork’s Highfield in a low scoring encounter at Spa field.
It was nil all at half time, with Cashel notching up the first points on the board thanks to a penalty just after half time.
It finished 10 points to nil.
