Kiladangan are looking to continue their defence of the Dan Breen Cup this weekend.
Last year’s county senior hurling champions take on Moycarkey-Borris on Saturday in their quarter-final tie at 3.15pm in FBD Semple Stadium.
For the North side, it’s a seventh straight quarter-final appearance whilst their Mid Tipp opponents are appearing in the last eight for the first time since 1991.
However, Kiladangan manager John O’Meara knows that Moycarkey will pose a threat to his side this weekend:
“If you look back to last year, I think 3 of the 4 quarter-finals last year were one score matches.
“At this stage of the championship it’s one-off games, they’re high stakes and everything is to play for, Saturday will be no different.
“We are well aware of the challenge Moycarkey are going to bring and look, we have prepared really well for it, we’re looking for incremental improvements every day we go out and lads are just rearing to go for Saturday.”
Tipp FM will have full live commentary of all 4 senior hurling quarter-finals this weekend with thanks to Nenagh College, Visit nenaghcollege.ie for more about their Post-Primary and Further Education provision.
