Kiely guided the county's Under-21's to All Ireland success just last year, and was a member of John Allen's backroom team when the senior side won the Munster title in 2013.

Coach Paul Kinnerk and strength and conditioning expert Joe O'Connor will form Kiely's backroom team, along with Jimmy Quilty and another yet-to-be-named selector.
