Kerry are celebrating their first Allianz Football League crown in 8 years, while Dublin have been left to reflect on a rare defeat under Jim Gavin.

The Kingdom beat the Dubs by the slenderest of margins in yesterday’s Division 1 final in Croke Park, winning out by 0-20 to 1-16.

Paul Mannion scored the only goal of the game, while Dean Rock had a chance to bring the tie to extra-time but his lengthy free came up just short.

Dublin have had the edge of Kerry in their last few meetings at Croke Park, and Kerry manager Eamon Fitzmaurice says their composure in the final stages was the difference this time around.
Meanwhile Galway claimed their first win in Croke Park for 16 years yesterday.

They beat Kildare by 18 points to 16 in the Division 2 final.
