Joseph O’Brien’s ‘Rekindling’ led home an Irish1-2-3 in the prestigious Melbourne Cup at Flemington this morning.
The 24-year-old’s horse came from behind to beat ‘Johannes Vermeer’ trained by his Dad Aiden O’Brien.
Another Irish horse, ‘Max Dynamite’, the runner up from two years ago, was third for trainer Willie Mullins.
