Ireland And Wales Set For Battle

The defending champions will pay a visit to the Aviva Stadium, looking to deflate the optimism that has been created around the Irish team since the arrival of Joe Schmidt as head coach.

Both sides laboured to opening round wins last weekend, with Ireland heading into this afternoon's game on top of the table on points difference.

The build-up to today's game has been overshadowed by speculation of a grudge between Brian O'Driscoll and Wales coach Warren Gatland after last summer's Lions tour in Australia.

The front-page of this morning's Western Mail newspaper in Wales is dominated by an image of the two men.

But Joe Schmidt insists that it hasn't been an issue in his camp this week.

Kick-off today at the Aviva Stadium is at half-past two.

It's the first of two games today in the Six Nations, with Scotland taking-on England in their Calcutta Cup clash at Murrayfield.

Both sides will be looking to recover from defeats on the opening weekend, with the action getting underway at 5 o'clock.
