Ireland win gold at World Rowing Cup

Ireland have their first gold medal at the World Rowing Cup in Serbia.

Mark O’Donovan and Shane O’Driscoll have finished in first place in the final of the lightweight men’s pair in Belgrade.

Meanwhile Denise Walsh has claimed a silver medal in the lightweight women’s single sculls.

However there was disappointment for the O’Donovan brothers.

Gary and Paul finished their men’s lightweight double sculls final in fourth place.
