Ireland drawn in in Group B of Snooker World Cup

The Republic of Ireland have been drawn against Hong Kong, Germany, Belgium, Egypt and defending champions China in Group B of snooker’s World Cup, which gets underway in China on Monday.

Fergal O’Brien and Ken Doherty will represent in the Republic in the 24-nation tournament which returns after a two-year absence from the snooker calendar.

The Northern Ireland team of Joe Swail and Mark Allen will face Scotland, Cyprus, Thailand, India and Israel in Group D.
