Hawkins reaches last 8 at Crucible

Barry Hawkins is through to the quarter finals of the Snooker World Championships.

The 2013 beaten finalist beat 2006 winner Graeme Dott 13-frames to 6 to set up a last-8 meeting with Stephen Maguire.

Top seed Mark Selby earned his quarter final spot with a 13-6 win over China’s Xiao Guodong.

Selby will face the winner of tonight’s encounter, which sees Neil Robertson and Marco Fu tied at 8-frames apiece.
