Gardai have questioned several Bray Wanderers players as part of an investigation into match fixing at the club.

The FAI confirmed last night that an investigation is underway into their 5-nil friendly defeat to Waterford last week.

It’s believed Gardai arrived at the Carlisle Grounds on Tuesday when the squad were scheduled to take part in training.

A statement from the club says they’re aware of the allegations and are fully co-operating with Gardai and the FAI.

It’s the second such investigation to hit the League of Ireland this season – last week two Athlone Town players were banned for 12 months following their 3-1 defeat to Longford Town in April.
