The second annual Santa Dash takes place in the Dome in Thurles this Saturday, with registration starting at 11am.
The fundraiser involves a 6k run or walk with plenty of festivities happening around the Dome on the day along with a visit Santa experience.
Funds raised will go to the running of the Tipperary underage teams for the upcoming season and Tipp GAA CEO Murtagh Brennan says it’s a great occasion:
“It’s a great day for a ticket which is €20 for an adult, €15 for a student and U12s are €2.
“For that you get to enjoy a wonderful day, you get to meet the stars, our minor team, our U20 team and some of our senior players will be there and you’ll get to see the All-Ireland cup and Munster cups from last season and also go out and jog or walk and get out and get some exercise and fresh air and come back in and listen to some Christmas carols.
“It’s a lovely festive event.”
Brennan added that there is plenty of activity in the Dome itself on Saturday.
“We’ll have refreshments and a lovely choir singing and there will be a Santa experience at the other end if you want to bring your kids and you can book in on the website to visit Santa for €10.
“Once you put your name in to participate in the Santa Dash you’re in with a chance to win any amount of getaway breaks and prizes, hampers and spot prizes.”
