Tipp motion before Croke Park congress

Tipperary delegates will be pushing for their motion on the Senior Hurling Championship to be passed at Special Congress in Croke Park this weekend.

Representatives from around the country are meeting to debate and vote on proposed changes to the championship structure.

There are four motions being brought before delegates – one from the Árd Comhairle – and alternative options from Tipperary, Dublin and Cork.

Each motion will be presented to delegates – one of which will be chosen by delegates to be voted on.

A 60% majority will then be required to pass the new motion.

Tim Floyd, County Board Secretary, explains more.
