County senior hurling champions Loughmore/Castleiney will meet neighbours JK Brackens, Drom-Inch and North side Lorrha in group 3 whilst last year’s beaten finalists Toomevara are in group 1 alongside Kiladangan, Holycross/Ballycahill and Clonoulty/Rossmore.
Group 2 of the senior hurling championship consists of Thurles Sarsfields, Nenagh Éire Óg, newcomers Cashel King Cormacs and Mullinahone whilst an open looking group 4 involves Moycarkey-Borris, Kilruane MacDonaghs, Roscrea and Borrisileigh.
In the Premier intermediate grade, newcomers Moneygall join north rivals Burgess and Ballina as well as Upperchurch/Drombane in group 3 whilst last year’s beaten finalists Carrick Swan join their south Tipp counterparts Killenaule and St. Mary’s as well as Clonakenny in group 4.
Group 1 of the second tier consists of Sean Treacys and mid Tipp’s Gortnahoe/Glengoole, Thurles Sarsfields and Moyne/Templetuohy whilst group 2 consists of Templederry, Silvermines, Éire Óg Annacarty and Boherlahan/Dualla.
Switching to the senior football championship, there’s two groups of four and one group of six.
Group one is made up of Kilsheelan/Kilcash, Cahir, Ballyporeen and newcomers Aherlow whilst group 2 consists of Clonmel Commercials, Ballina, Ardfinnan and Grangemockler/Ballyneale.
The group of 6, with the top four to the quarter finals and bottom 2 to relegation is made up of Moyle Rovers, Loughmore/Castleiney, Arravale Rovers, JK Brackens, Upperchurch/Drombane and Killenaule.
The county hurling championships commence on the last weekend of July with the football getting underway the following weekend, the first weekend of August.
