The Premier’s first outing in Division 2 is the visit of Galway to Sean Treacy Park in Tipp Town on Sunday afternoon.
They will also be facing into games against the likes of Roscommon, Monaghan and Cork over the coming weeks.
Cahir’s Aisling Moloney has returned from Australia for the League and told this week’s Extra Time that life in Division 2 will be no pushover.
“Very competitive and anyone who has been dropped down to Division 2 always finds it hard to get out of. But look, we’ve a new management team this year as well. Its been very exciting – Ed Burke is in charge of that. He’s been involved in Tipperary Ladies Football for years in underage. He was part of our All Ireland winning team back in 2019. Since he’s brought his crew in with him it’s been very exciting.
“We’re looking forward to getting going – all the girls are going into it really well. We’ve a lot of new girls involved with us, we’ve old girls back playing with us so I think we’re all excited to get going.”
Throw-in is at 2pm on Sunday.
