Both teams have been to the fore of the West championship over the last 10 years, with Clonoulty Rossmore having won 7 titles, and Eire Og 3.
Eire Og Annacarthy defeated Clonoulty in the round robin stages of the West championship, and both teams qualified top of their groups in the county championship this year.
