Ronan Maher says Tipperary will be attacking the League final with everything they have.
The Tipp senior hurling captain has been speaking ahead of Sunday’s National Hurling League decider where the Premier travel to Páirc Uí Chaoimh to play Cork at 4pm.
Tipp’s last league title was won back in 2008 whilst for Cork, their last victory was in 1998.
Thurles Sarsfields club man Ronan Maher says Sunday’s game in front of a sold out crowd is both a great opportunity and great preparation.
“It’s a great position to be in.
“League finals have proven to be very difficult to win in Tipperary, 2008 obviously being the last one and being bet in a few as well so it’s a medal we’d all love to have.
“There’s silverware on the line so we’ll go out and prep ourselves really well, we’ll train really hard.
“Down the line championship is what we are looking at but this is great prep for championship.
“For us, for everybody involved in this squad it is our first league final together so we’ll attack it with everything we have but like I said, it’s great prep.”
Tipp FM will have live commentary of Sunday’s game with thanks to REA Eoin Dillon, Nenagh.
