With defeats to Waterford and Clare so far the Premier will be looking to bounce back in Thurles tonight.

Hurling analyst Tom McGrath says getting back to winning ways is important for Tipp tonight particularly with a game away to Cork still to come.

“Momentum is important I suppose really. The loss to Waterford – they’re a decent outfit. The loss in Ennis probably was a little bit damaging alright – the goal caught you late on.”

“From the point of view of confidence going forward I think it would be important to win the two games and that starts by winning the first one of course. Because if you don’t win the third one – and that’s at home – you know a lot of things is you win your home games. Winning Friday evening (against Limerick) – that gets you going and you have confidence for the last match (away to Cork).”

Throw-in this evening is at 7pm in FBD Semple Stadium.
