Over 10,000 young people across Ireland have undergone cardiac screening through the work of the organisation.

The foundation was set up following the sudden passing of Tipperary senior hurler Dillon Quirke whilst playing for Clonoulty/Rossmore in August of 2022 in Semple Stadium.

29 clubs in Tipperary have availed of the screening and of the over 10,000 people screened nationally, 243 people have been advised to seek further cardiology tests.

Dan Quirke, founder of the foundation named after his son, says that their goal for 2025 is to screen more young people but also to work towards the overall goal of securing mandatory screening for all young athletes.
