This weekend sees a host of club hurling action right across the Premier county.

While most of the games are either Senior or Seamus Ni Riain championships, the action gets back underway in the intermediate hurling championships this evening.

Across the weekend a number of teams are down to play, including last years’ beaten intermediate county finalists Thurles Sarsfields.

They’ve reached the intermediate final three years in a row now, but have fallen at the last hurdle.

Sars Intermediate Manager Connie Maher says they’re hoping to go a step further this year.

Due to a bereavement in the Carrick Swan club tomorrows County Senior Hurling Championship game against Kilruane MacDonaghs has been deferred.
