Tipperary will have to battle through the back door if they want to successfully defend their All Ireland title.
Cork causing a huge upset at Semple Stadium yesterday to claim a 2-27 to 1-26 victory in their quarter-final clash.
Shane Kingston put the Rebels in the driving seat with his second half goal before John McGrath raised a green flag to get the Premier back in the game.
But Michael Cahalane’s second Cork goal was the decider in the final minutes.
The rebels will go on to play Waterford next month in the semis while Tipp will have to wait until July to start their qualifiers campaign.

Ryan also praised Cork’s performance as exceptional – for his part the Rebel’s keeper Anthony Nash paid tribute to their opponents but told Tipp FM that they won’t be getting ahead of themselves.
