The Tipperary Supporters Club are hosting their second annual ‘Night at the Dogs’ this weekend.
The fundraiser takes place at Thurles Greyhound Stadium on Saturday night, with the first of 10 races getting underway at 6pm.
Funds raised will go towards supporting the Tipperary senior hurling team, with members of the team attending on the night to meet supporters.
Speaking on this week’s Extra-Time, Michael Bourke from the Tipperary Supporters Club says a good night is in store.
“This Saturday night we’re having our second ‘Night at the Dogs’ in Thurles which was very successful last year.
“We have organised the same for this year, a ten race card, all races sponsored by individuals from Tipperary who we are very appreciative of.
“Players are selling tickets and players will train on Saturday evening and they will come across the stadium to meet young supporters and people and take photographs and do whatever is required just to show their appreciation to the people who have come to the dogs and have supported.”
Tickets for Saturday night’s event cost €20 and can be purchased online, at Lár na Páirce or at the gate on the night.
