Brendan Cummins is hoping for a big Tipperary support as they head to ‘The Lion’s Den’ tomorrow.
The Tipp U20 hurlers take on Kilkenny in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday at 3pm in the All-Ireland final.
Tipperary lost the U20 final in the Kilkenny venue last year against Offaly but had a memorable minor final win against the Cats in Nowlan Park last year.
Tipp manager Brendan Cummins says the supporters played a huge part in that victory and is hoping they can do the same tomorrow.
“I would say to the Tipperary supporters to come along, this group of players have given us huge entertainment over the last two years and you can see some of them are starting to feed in to the senior panel and they are making a difference to the senior panel as well.
“They are well worth supporting and I know Tipperary people will.
“I was down last year in Nowlan Park for the minor final and there is no doubt that the Tipperary support got Tipp across the line that night.
“We’ll be hoping for a similar attendance on Saturday for the final and be nice and loud as well because our lads will need it because we are really going into the lion’s den and we’re under no illusions about that.”
We’ll have full live commentary of Saturday’s game here on Tipp FM with thanks to Nenagh College.
