Cashel King Cormacs can have no excuses following last night’s Munster final defeat according to their manager.
The West Tipp side were beaten by Cork’s Watergrasshill in the Gaelic Grounds in their Munster intermediate club hurling decider.
Cashel trailed 0-10 to 0-08 at half time but the Cork side, managed by Thurles native Eddie Enright, had much the better of the second half, winning on a full time score of 1-21 to 0-14.
Speaking after the game, Cashel manager TJ Connolly was fulsome in his praise for their opponents.
“We have to take our hats off to Watergrasshill – they were the better team by far. They outpunched us tonight, they were hungrier than us and they deserved to win the Munster final.”
