Tipperary will meet Galway in the All-Ireland senior hurling quarter final.
The Premier had a 3-32 to 0-18 win over Laois in their preliminary quarter final on Saturday afternoon in Portlaoise.
They will now take on the Tribesmen next weekend, with a fixture to be confirmed today, where the winner will meet Cork in the All-Ireland semi final.
Speaking after Saturday’s game, Tipp manager Liam Cahill was happy with his side.
“Delighted with our application. Started the match really well – kind of petered out a bit after 15 or 20 minutes and then corrected a few little things at half time and put the game to bed early in the second half.
“That gave us an opportunity then to get a bit of time into other guys as well so all in all a good afternoons work. You know, Laois not easy coming off a defeat last weekend but being the people they are and the proud hurling county they are they battled right up to the end.”
